Dear Friends and Readers,
December has not gone as I had planned. Not. One. Bit. Have you ever had the flu (you and your entire household) on Christmas day? I can officially check that box off. Then scribble over it and poke it 3 times in the eye! But here we are, a little coughing symphony in my living room. We’ll continue to recover and the sun is shining today, so that makes it a million times better. Gray, fevers, and Christmas do NOT go together.
It is wild what sickness pulls out of you. Though I’m a still weak, I’m all the sudden a bit more wide-eyed than before! More hopeful! I’m a clean slate, baby. In fact, I am the baby. FRESH AND NEW. Anything is better than being sick so anything is POSSIBLE! Right? Yes. My last minute gift ideas and winter wonderland fashion post ideas: sacked. The moment is over. But I’m ok with it, because now I’m looking onward to what will be and more so who I will be. And who you will be, too!
I am reading prophetic words about 2025 being the year of Rebirth and I do believe this is true. Let me be one of the first to proclaim it from the rooftops of Substack today: the next RENAISSANCE is coming! In all regards: as in an artistic/intellectual movement in the Earth, but also in the sense of rebirth and revival! There is a catch though: surrender and obedience are two of the keys we’ll need to move forward into this coming year. It’s time to take inventory of everything that is making us dull and especially dull to the kingdom of God. I believe that God is pulling us to Jeremiah 33:3 this year: Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
We just have to lay down everything we’re still holding on to and keep our eyes on Him.
Since we’re standing on the edge of something new, I thought it would be interesting to take deeper look into our lives. I have attached a list of questions I’ve put together for you to print or copy and ponder over during these last days of the year (imo: The Year of Pushing Through). Some are fun. Some are spiritual. And, honestly, “God” could be the answer to every single one of them.
As our little coughing quintet winds down at my house and the final notes of 2024 fade, I’m reminded that sometimes you just have to “get through it” and as you do, you can trust that God was with you all along. Love you and I will see you in your inbox very soon!
Eternally yours,
Amber
I love this!!! Lots to consider to reset our lives. Ilu
